FeedProof

FeedProof is a web app + browser extension that helps creators and curators quickly validate the credibility of articles, videos, and social posts before reposting. You paste a link (or highlight a claim) and it generates a “proof card” showing: original source, publication date, author identity signals, cross-source corroboration, and a confidence score with citations. It also flags common traps like recycled screenshots, quote misattribution, and “old news” resurfacing. The goal isn’t to be a fact-checker of record—it’s to reduce embarrassing reposts and improve trust with audiences. Users can save verified items into collections (e.g., “AI policy,” “health studies”), export proof cards as images for social, and maintain a lightweight audit trail for sponsors or editors. It’s realistic: it won’t perfectly judge truth, but it will reliably surface provenance, context, and supporting/contradicting sources fast.
