FeeHawk

FeeHawk is a mobile + web app that audits your bank and card transactions to identify avoidable fees and “silent drains” like overdraft charges, monthly maintenance fees, out-of-network ATM fees, late-payment penalties, and subscription price hikes. Users connect accounts via open-banking, then FeeHawk classifies fee events, estimates annualized cost, and provides a step-by-step “fix path” for each fee type (e.g., switch to a no-fee account, set balance buffers, change bill due dates, enable autopay minimums, or move cash to avoid overdrafts). The app focuses on actions that are realistic—no magical ‘save $1,000 overnight’ claims. It includes a simple rules engine: users set constraints (payday dates, minimum safe balance, bills that must never fail), and FeeHawk generates alerts before a fee is likely (e.g., upcoming bill will dip below buffer). It also offers a “Fee Dispute Pack” that drafts concise messages and call scripts to request reversals, using your transaction evidence. The product is intentionally narrow: it doesn’t try to be a full budgeting app, which keeps onboarding fast and value obvious within the first week.
