FeeLeak

FeeLeak is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps active retail traders and small funds quantify the real, all-in cost of trading: spreads, slippage, commissions, exchange/SEC/FINRA fees, borrow rates, and the opportunity cost of poor fills. Users connect their broker via read-only integrations or upload trade confirms/CSV exports. The app normalizes executions, reconstructs effective spread vs NBBO at the time, and estimates implementation shortfall by symbol, time-of-day, order type, and venue. It then produces a “cost leak” report that highlights where money is quietly lost (e.g., market orders in illiquid names, trading during wide spreads, routing patterns, frequent partial fills). This isn’t a get-rich tool; it’s a cost-control dashboard. The value is measurable: if you trade often, small basis-point improvements add up quickly.
