FencePulse

FencePulse is a mobile + web app that monitors electric fence health using low-cost voltage sensors placed at key fence segments and gateways. Instead of discovering a downed fence after animals escape, operators get real-time alerts when voltage drops, shorts occur, or battery/solar systems degrade. The app shows a simple map of sensor locations, trend lines, and a “likely fault zone” estimate based on which sensors see the drop first. It also logs repairs and recurring trouble spots, helping prioritize permanent fixes rather than endless patching. This is not glamorous, but it targets a daily operational headache that costs real money in labor, lost animals, neighbor disputes, and liability. The MVP can start with a small number of sensors and manual placement; hardware can be sourced off-the-shelf and refined later into a branded kit.
