FenceWatch

FenceWatch is a mobile + web AI app that helps conservation teams detect and respond to likely poaching incursions using low-cost perimeter sensors and existing infrastructure. It ingests alerts from off-the-shelf devices (LoRa motion nodes, gate contacts, acoustic triggers) and correlates them with ranger patrol routes, time-of-day risk, and recent incident patterns to reduce false alarms. The app works in low-connectivity areas: rangers receive offline-capable incident cards, navigation to the nearest access point, and a simple “arrived / cleared / evidence found” workflow. On the web dashboard, supervisors see heatmaps, sensor health, and response-time metrics to justify funding and improve coverage. This is not a drone/imagery fantasy product; it’s built around what many reserves can actually deploy and maintain. The goal is fewer wasted callouts and faster response when it matters.
