FerrySeat
FerrySeat predicts whether you’ll actually get on the next sailing, before you waste time and fuel queuing. It combines official schedules and capacity rules with real-time signals (vehicle queue length from user check-ins, GPS speed/position of ferries, terminal congestion, and historical load patterns) to produce a simple “Boarding Likelihood” score for each departure. Users can set alerts like “tell me when the 5:10pm is >70% likely” and get reroute suggestions (alternate terminals, later sailings, or park-and-ride). This is a mobile app (iOS/Android) with a lightweight web dashboard for operators and local agencies. It’s an AI + traditional app: AI handles prediction and anomaly detection; traditional components handle schedules, notifications, and maps. Realistically, accuracy will be strongest on high-volume commuter routes where patterns repeat and user density is high.
