FiberPulse

FiberPulse is a web app (with optional mobile companion) for telecom infrastructure teams to detect, triage, and document fiber degradation using existing network telemetry and field test uploads. It pulls alarms and performance counters from common NMS/EMS sources, correlates them with GIS segments, and flags “slow-burn” issues like rising attenuation, intermittent reflections, or temperature-related drift that don’t trigger hard outages yet. Field techs can upload OTDR traces and photos from the mobile app; the system auto-associates them to the correct span, compares against baselines, and generates a clear work order summary for contractors or internal crews. This is not a magical ‘single pane of glass’—it’s a focused tool that reduces repeat truck rolls and finger-pointing by turning messy signals into actionable, auditable evidence. Expect best results for operators who already have basic monitoring and want better prioritization and documentation.
