FiberScout
FiberScout is a web + mobile field app for small-to-mid ISPs and municipal networks to pinpoint likely fiber trouble spots using lightweight, crowdsourced and operator-owned data. It ingests ONT/ONU telemetry, OLT alarms, basic SNMP stats, and technician notes, then maps incidents to probable physical segments (splitters, cabinets, spans) to guide dispatch. The product is intentionally pragmatic: it won’t “magically” locate every cut, but it will reduce blind truck rolls by ranking the top suspected locations and correlating repeat offenders. A simple workflow lets NOC staff open an outage case, see impacted customers, suggested fault domain, and recommended tests. Field techs get turn-by-turn to assets, offline checklists, and photo capture tied to the network inventory. The MVP focuses on a narrow set of vendors and data sources to avoid integration hell and deliver value fast.
