FindLedger

FindLedger is a mobile + web app for small archaeology teams to manage artifact inventories and context metadata in the field without hauling laptops or juggling spreadsheets. It lets you create a site/project, define context IDs, and log finds with photos, measurements, material/type picklists, and GPS coordinates—even offline. When back online, it syncs to a shared web dashboard where supervisors can review entries, flag inconsistencies, and export clean CSV/JSON for reports and archives. An optional AI layer suggests standardized artifact categories from photos and text notes, but it’s explicitly “assistive,” not authoritative, because misclassification is common and costly. The realistic value: fewer lost bags, fewer transcription errors, faster end-of-day reconciliation, and cleaner handoffs to specialists. It won’t replace full enterprise heritage systems; it’s a lightweight, field-first ledger that actually gets used.
