FirstSlice is a mobile + web app that enforces pay-yourself-first by moving money to savings the moment income hits. Users connect their bank via open-banking, set rules (e.g., 15% of deposits, $50 per paycheck, round-ups, or “save before bills”), and the app automatically sweeps funds into a dedicated high-yield savings account or sub-accounts (“buckets”). The core value is behavioral: it makes saving the default and spending the constraint. It also includes a simple “safe-to-spend” number that updates after each deposit and scheduled bill, plus lightweight nudges when you’re about to break your plan. This is a traditional app with a small AI component that detects irregular income patterns and recommends a conservative savings rate that won’t trigger overdrafts. Monetization is subscription or interchange/partner revenue from the savings account.
