FitARGuide is a mobile AR app for apparel brands that lets shoppers do a quick, realistic fit check at home before buying. Instead of promising perfect body-scanning (which often fails), it focuses on high-impact sizing outcomes: sleeve length, shoulder width, waist/hip ease, and garment drape approximations using phone camera + simple calibration (credit-card reference + two poses). Brands upload lightweight garment “fit profiles” (key measurements, stretch, intended ease) rather than full 3D assets, keeping onboarding feasible. Shoppers get a confidence score per size, plus clear warnings like “tight at shoulders” or “long in torso.” The app plugs into Shopify and major e-commerce stacks to show recommendations on product pages and post-purchase exchanges. It’s not magic: it won’t replace tailoring or high-fashion accuracy, but it can materially reduce the worst sizing mistakes and returns for everyday apparel.
