FitGuard

FitGuard is a mobile + web AI app that helps athletes and parents avoid buying poorly fitting protective gear (helmets, shin guards, shoulder pads, mouthguards) that increases injury risk and wastes money. Users scan the gear and their body measurements with a phone camera, then the app estimates fit, flags common danger zones (pressure points, gaps, misalignment), and recommends size adjustments or alternative models. It also stores a “fit profile” per athlete, so growing kids can re-check fit every season in minutes. For teams, coaches can run quick fit checks during distribution and export a compliance report (who needs refitting, who is cleared). This is not magic: it won’t replace certified fitting for high-risk sports, but it can catch obvious mistakes early and reduce returns and complaints.
