FitTrace
FitTrace is a mobile + web app for apparel designers and sewists to document garment fit issues and pattern changes in a structured, repeatable way. Users take standardized photos (front/side/back), then place simple on-body markers (drag points) to note problems like drag lines, gaping, twisting, or tightness. The app converts those notes into a change log tied to a specific pattern version, size, fabric, and construction choices. It also generates a concise “next iteration checklist” so you don’t forget what you changed between muslins. This is not magic: it won’t auto-fit every body or replace skill. It’s a disciplined workflow tool that makes iteration faster, reduces wasted fabric, and creates a searchable history you can reuse across similar blocks and clients.
