FixFit

FixFit is a mobile app (with a lightweight web dashboard) for DIYers who keep buying the wrong hardware. You scan or photograph the part you’re replacing (screw, anchor, hinge, faucet cartridge, etc.) and the app guides you through a few quick measurements using on-screen calibration (coin/card reference) and plain-language prompts. It then outputs the most likely standardized spec (e.g., M6 x 1.0, #8-32, 1/2" NPT), plus a short list of compatible SKU suggestions by major retailers and brands, with links and aisle hints when available. It also stores a “home hardware library” per room/project so you can reorder the same parts later. This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI helps identify part categories and likely standards, but the app is honest about confidence and asks for confirmation to avoid bad matches.
