FixMyUnit
FixMyUnit is a mobile + web app for public housing repair requests that forces clarity and accountability. Tenants submit issues with guided prompts, photos/video, and “what’s impacted” checkboxes (no heat, leaks, mold, accessibility). The system auto-triages by severity, suggests likely trade type, and generates a complete work-order packet for maintenance teams. Staff get a queue with SLA timers, parts checklists, and route planning; managers get dashboards showing backlog, repeat failures, and contractor performance. Every status change is timestamped and visible to the tenant, including missed appointments and reasons. This is not a magic wand: it won’t fix underfunding or staff shortages. But it will reduce duplicate calls, lost tickets, and “we never got it” disputes—problems that waste time and money today.
