FixOrFlip

FixOrFlip helps people stretch their money by making smarter “repair, buy used, or replace” decisions for everyday items (phones, appliances, furniture, bikes, clothes). You snap a photo, enter a few details (model, age, symptoms, condition), and the app estimates realistic repair paths: DIY parts cost, local repair shop ranges, typical used-market price, and expected remaining lifespan. It also flags when a repair is likely a money pit (recurring failures, parts scarcity, labor exceeding value). The app includes a local repair directory and a lightweight checklist to prep for quotes so users don’t get upsold. It’s not magic: estimates will be ranges and sometimes wrong, but it’s still better than guessing or defaulting to replacement. Monetization is straightforward: subscription for advanced estimates and ad-free use, plus referral fees from repair partners where allowed.
