FixOverlay is a mobile AR overlay app for field technicians and maintenance teams. Point a phone/tablet at a machine and the app anchors step-by-step instructions, safety callouts, torque specs, and part IDs directly onto the equipment. It supports QR/NFC to load the correct asset, offline mode for basements and plants, and photo/video proof-of-work capture tied to each step. It’s a combination traditional + AI app: AI helps auto-generate draft procedures from manuals and past tickets, and suggests likely failure points based on the asset and symptoms, but the workflow stays deterministic and auditable. The product is intentionally narrow: focus on “repeatable maintenance tasks” (filters, belts, valves, resets) where AR adds clarity and reduces mistakes. Admins publish overlays from a web console and push updates instantly to crews.
