FloatFence

FloatFence is a mobile + web cash-flow guardrail for people living paycheck-to-paycheck who already use a bank app but still get surprised by timing. It connects to your accounts, reads upcoming bills and subscriptions, and builds a day-by-day “safe-to-spend” number that updates after every transaction. The core is a calendar view that shows when money actually clears (not when you made the purchase) and highlights the exact days you’re at risk of going negative. Users can set simple rules like “never drop below $200” and get alerts with concrete actions: move a bill date, pause a subscription, or transfer from a buffer account. It’s not a full budgeting app; it’s a timing and buffer tool. The product lives or dies on accuracy and trust, so it focuses on fewer features, clearer math, and transparent assumptions.
