FloodProof is a mobile + web app that turns confusing flood data into a practical, property-specific action plan. Users enter an address (or drop a pin) and get a clear risk snapshot: likely flood sources (river, coastal, surface water), depth estimates by scenario, and what “1-in-100” actually means in plain language. The app then generates a prioritized checklist with costs and effort levels: backflow valves, door barriers, sump pumps, grading fixes, document storage, and evacuation prep. It also provides a “before/during/after” playbook, local emergency contacts, and a simple inventory tool for insurance claims. Alerts focus on actionable thresholds (e.g., “move car now,” “deploy barrier,” “shut off power”) rather than generic weather spam. This is an AI + traditional app: AI summarizes guidance and personalizes plans, but core risk layers come from authoritative datasets.
