FloodReady

FloodReady is a mobile + web app that turns messy flood risk data into simple, address-level guidance for people and small organizations. Users enter an address (or multiple properties) and get a live dashboard: flood watch status, rainfall/river triggers, evacuation routes, and a prioritized checklist (move car, sandbags, shutoff valves, document storage). It pulls from public hydrology, radar precipitation, terrain, and local alert feeds, then converts that into “what to do now” steps. The app also stores a home/business profile (basement? sump pump? pets? mobility needs?) to tailor recommendations and reminders. For small businesses and landlords, it includes a lightweight incident log and post-event documentation pack (photos, timestamps, insurer-ready notes). This is not a climate “awareness” app; it’s an operational preparedness tool for the most common climate-driven disaster.
