FlowBidder

FlowBidder is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps hydro operators and energy traders convert inflow, reservoir, and constraint data into day-ahead and real-time market bidding recommendations. It ingests weather and hydrology forecasts, historical inflows, SCADA exports, reservoir rule curves, environmental flow requirements, and transmission/market constraints. The app produces scenario-based generation schedules, expected revenue ranges, and risk flags (spill risk, minimum flow violations, ramping limits). It’s a combination traditional + AI app: traditional optimization and constraint checks, plus AI to learn forecast bias, detect anomalous inputs, and summarize “why this schedule” in plain language for operators. It also creates an audit trail for compliance and post-mortems. This is not a magic autopilot—users still approve bids—but it reduces manual spreadsheet work and missed value during volatile price periods.
