FlowFixture

FlowFixture is a mobile + web app that helps homeowners pinpoint which specific fixtures are wasting water and what to do about it, without requiring smart meters or new hardware. Users do a guided “micro-audit” in 20 minutes: time-to-fill tests for faucets, shower flow checks, toilet dye/leak checks, and irrigation spot checks. The app converts results into estimated gallons and dollars wasted, then generates a prioritized fix list (swap aerator, adjust flapper, replace showerhead, tune sprinkler schedule) with expected savings and payback. It also stores a simple maintenance log and reminders (seasonal irrigation tweaks, toilet part replacement intervals). This is not magic: estimates are only as good as user inputs, and many users won’t follow through. But for motivated homeowners, it provides a clear, low-friction path to measurable reductions using cheap parts and basic actions.
