FlowGate
FlowGate is a desktop + mobile companion that enforces “earned breaks” during deep work. You start a session with a clear goal and a timebox; the app then locks distracting sites/apps on desktop and silences selected mobile apps. The twist: you only unlock a break by proving progress with lightweight evidence—e.g., a Git commit, a Jira ticket moved, a Google Doc word-count delta, or a short end-of-sprint note. No evidence, no break. It also tracks your personal “flow triggers” (time of day, music, location, task type) and recommends the next best focus window based on your history, not generic advice. This isn’t a wellness app; it’s a productivity enforcement tool for people who keep failing with gentle timers. Expect some friction—by design—because flow is fragile and most tools are too permissive.
