FlowScout

FlowScout is a mobile + web app for quick, on-site pedestrian flow studies using a phone camera and lightweight computer vision. A field staffer records short clips at entrances, corridors, crosswalks, or event queues; the app auto-estimates counts, direction split, dwell time, and peak congestion windows, then generates a shareable report for planners and property teams. It’s designed for “good-enough” audits when budgets don’t justify permanent sensors or weeks of manual tallying. The web dashboard stores sites, timestamps, weather notes, and layout photos, and lets teams compare before/after changes (signage, barriers, schedule shifts). It won’t replace high-end analytics in complex scenes, but it can reliably handle many everyday environments and dramatically reduce time spent on clip review and spreadsheet work.
