FocusBouncer
FocusBouncer is a desktop + mobile companion that turns Pomodoro into a commitment device, not a suggestion. Start a 25/50-minute sprint and it enforces a pre-chosen “work-only” mode: blocks distracting sites/apps, mutes notifications, and requires a short end-of-sprint proof (a 1–2 sentence progress note or a checklist tick) before it unlocks. If you quit early, it triggers a pre-set consequence: donate $2 to a cause you dislike, extend the next sprint, or lock social apps for an hour. It also includes a lightweight planning ritual: pick one task, define “done,” then run the timer. No fancy analytics—just streaks, weekly adherence, and a simple “what derailed you?” prompt. It’s intentionally strict, because most Pomodoro apps fail by being too easy to ignore.
