FocusReceipt

FocusReceipt is a web + desktop app that turns time spent into auditable “work receipts” for knowledge workers and teams. Instead of just tracking apps and websites, it asks for lightweight, timed check-ins (“What are you doing and why?”) and links them to artifacts: commits, tickets, docs, meetings, and files. The result is a daily timeline that explains time, not just logs it—useful for retros, billing, performance reviews, and reducing invisible work. It flags time sinks (context switching, meeting sprawl, reactive support) and shows the cost in hours and dollars. Privacy is built-in: users can redact sensitive titles, keep raw data local, and share only summaries. This is not a “spy tool”; it’s a self-serve accountability and clarity tool that helps people defend their time and negotiate scope with evidence.
