FocusTrace
FocusTrace is a web app + browser extension that audits keyboard navigation and focus visibility on real pages, not just static rules. It records a full “tab journey” through your site, capturing focus order, skipped elements, focus traps, hidden focus outlines, and unreachable controls. You get a replayable timeline with DOM selectors, screenshots, and a prioritized issue list mapped to WCAG criteria. It also flags common framework pitfalls (modal traps, custom dropdowns, SPA route changes) by detecting focus loss and inconsistent tab stops. Reports are exportable as Jira tickets with repro steps and suggested fixes. This is not a magic accessibility button: it won’t guarantee compliance, and it won’t replace manual testing with assistive tech. It’s a practical, repeatable way for teams to catch the most frequent, high-impact UX accessibility failures before release.
