FOIAFlow
FOIAFlow is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps journalists, watchdog nonprofits, and civic-minded residents file, track, and escalate public-records requests across local and state agencies. It standardizes request templates per jurisdiction, logs statutory deadlines, and creates a public timeline of agency responses (or non-responses). An AI layer summarizes released documents, extracts key entities (contracts, vendors, dates, amounts), and flags likely exemptions or missing attachments so users can push back intelligently. The app also generates polite-but-firm follow-up messages and appeal drafts based on the agency’s own policies. Brutal reality: agencies are slow, inconsistent, and sometimes hostile; the product wins by reducing the grind and creating reputational pressure through transparent, shareable tracking pages. Revenue comes from pro accounts for newsrooms/nonprofits and lightweight municipal subscriptions for agencies that want a cleaner intake.
