FOIAForge

FOIAForge is a web app (with optional mobile requester portal) that helps public administration teams manage public records/FOIA requests from intake to fulfillment. It standardizes request submission, auto-categorizes and routes requests to the right department, and tracks statutory deadlines with escalation. Staff can search across connected repositories, assemble responsive records, and generate consistent response letters and exemption justifications. It also provides a public-facing status tracker to reduce “any update?” calls and emails. This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI is used for request classification, deduping similar requests, and redaction assistance (suggestions, not autonomous release). The product is realistic for small-to-mid agencies that can’t afford enterprise suites, but still need audit trails, defensible workflows, and measurable backlog reduction. It’s designed to integrate gradually rather than forcing a rip-and-replace of existing document systems.
