FOIAForge is a web app (with optional mobile reviewer view) that helps public agencies process FOIA/public-records requests faster without pretending AI can replace legal judgment. It centralizes intake from email, web forms, and mail scans; auto-deduplicates repeat requests; and uses AI-assisted classification to route requests to the right custodians, estimate scope, and flag likely exemptions for human review. It also manages statutory deadlines, requester communications, fee estimates, and audit-ready logs. The product focuses on reducing the two biggest drivers of delay: chaotic intake and inconsistent triage. It includes configurable templates aligned to agency policies, plus reporting dashboards for leadership (backlog aging, bottlenecks, and compliance risk). Realistically, the AI is best at sorting, summarizing, and suggesting—not final determinations—so the workflow is designed to keep humans accountable while still saving time.
