FOIAForge

FOIAForge is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps journalists, watchdog groups, and everyday residents file public-records requests, track deadlines, and escalate noncompliance. It generates jurisdiction-specific request templates, logs all correspondence, and creates an audit trail that’s usable in appeals or court. The app flags when agencies miss statutory timelines, suggests escalation steps, and can publish a public “request status” page to apply pressure. It also provides a searchable library of prior requests and released documents so users don’t re-request what already exists. This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI assists with drafting precise, narrow requests, summarizing released PDFs/emails, and extracting key facts, but the workflow is built around real legal timelines and evidence. The value is operational: fewer dropped balls, faster follow-ups, and better outcomes.
