It generates legally cautious first-draft responses, suggests exemptions with citations, and builds a defensible audit trail (who reviewed what, when, and why). It also centralizes intake from email/web forms, de-duplicates repeat requests, and provides deadline tracking with escalation. For requesters (journalists, nonprofits, citizens), it offers templates, status tracking, and a clean portal for communication and document delivery. This is an AI + traditional app: AI accelerates drafting, classification, and redaction suggestions, while strict rules, human review, and logging keep it compliant. The product is realistic because it targets small-to-mid agencies that still run FOIA via shared inboxes and spreadsheets, where delays and mistakes create real legal and PR risk.
