FOIAProof
FOIAProof is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps requesters draft, scope, and track public-records requests with evidence-grade specificity. It guides users through agency selection, record-type prompts, date ranges, custodians, and fee/expedite language, then generates a clean request packet and a tracking dashboard. The AI component suggests tighter wording, flags overly broad scopes likely to trigger “unduly burdensome” denials, and recommends alternative narrower requests when agencies stall. It also standardizes follow-ups, appeal templates, and deadline reminders based on jurisdiction rules you configure. Realistically, it won’t magically force agencies to respond; the value is reducing self-inflicted failures (bad scoping, wrong office, missing statutory language) and keeping pressure consistent. Revenue comes from subscriptions for journalists, law firms, advocacy orgs, and enterprise plans for universities/newsrooms managing many requests.
