ForkProof is a mobile + web app that lets shoppers and food buyers quickly sanity-check “humane,” “cage-free,” and “regenerative” claims at the product and brand level. Scan a barcode (or search a restaurant/brand) to see a plain-English score built from verifiable signals: certification validity, audit frequency, enforcement history, supply-chain transparency, and documented controversies. An AI layer summarizes long reports, lawsuits, and NGO investigations into short, sourced bullets, and flags likely greenwashing patterns. Users can set preferences (e.g., no gestation crates, no fast-growth broilers) and get swap suggestions to genuinely better options in their region. The app is brutally conservative: if evidence is weak, it says “unverified” rather than guessing. Monetization is a freemium consumer app plus a paid “Procurement” tier for small restaurants and corporate cafeterias that need defensible sourcing decisions.
