FormiTrack

FormiTrack is a mobile + web app for ant keepers to log colony status and prevent the most common avoidable losses: dehydration, overheating, mold, and missed feeding cycles. You record quick check-ins (queen/worker count estimates, brood stages, humidity/temperature, feeding, escapes, deaths) and the app turns it into a simple health timeline with reminders tuned to species and setup type (test tube, formicarium, tubs-and-tubes). Optional AI features read a photo of the nest to estimate brood stage and flag obvious issues like condensation, mold, or dried cotton. The honest reality: the ant-keeping market is niche, so this can’t be a giant VC-scale business. But it can be a sustainable subscription for serious hobbyists if it’s faster than spreadsheets, more accurate than memory, and doesn’t feel like a generic pet tracker.
