FrameLedger

FrameLedger is a web app (with optional desktop companion) for animation/CGI teams to manage shot feedback without drowning in email threads, PDFs, and scattered chat messages. It centralizes notes per shot/version, ties each note to a frame range and department (layout, anim, lighting, comp), and creates an audit trail of what changed, who approved it, and what’s still blocking. It’s a combination traditional + AI app: AI can auto-summarize long review sessions, detect duplicate notes, and suggest a clean actionable task list, but the core value works even if the AI is off. The app integrates with existing storage (ShotGrid exports, Google Drive, Dropbox, S3) rather than forcing studios to move assets. It’s built for small-to-mid studios and freelancers who can’t justify heavy enterprise pipeline tools but still need production-grade accountability.
