FrameLedger

FrameLedger is a desktop + web companion for video editors that automatically logs edit decisions and creates a searchable “edit ledger” across versions. It watches your NLE project exports (XML/EDL/AAF where available) and generates a timeline of what changed: cuts added/removed, clip swaps, trims, audio level changes, and notes. Producers and clients can review a clean change log instead of scrubbing timelines or comparing renders. Editors can roll back specific decisions, attach rationale (“why we cut this”), and export a concise revision report for approvals. This is not a full editor; it’s a workflow layer that reduces chaos in revision-heavy projects. It integrates with common storage (Dropbox/Google Drive) and keeps a lightweight local index so big projects don’t feel sluggish. The goal is fewer misunderstandings, faster approvals, and less rework.
