FrassWatch

FrassWatch is a mobile + web app for early detection and documentation of wood-boring beetle activity in buildings and stored wood. Users log sightings of frass, exit holes, damaged timber, and moisture conditions with guided photo checklists and measurement prompts. The app uses AI to flag likely borer patterns (e.g., powderpost vs. longhorn indicators) and, more importantly, produces a clean, timestamped report that pest control operators, landlords, or insurers can act on. It also schedules re-check reminders by room/asset, tracks treatment dates, and stores “before/after” evidence. This is not a general beetle ID toy; it’s a workflow tool for a narrow, expensive problem where documentation matters. Expect false positives early on; the value is in structured inspection and reporting even when AI is uncertain.
