FriendForge

FriendForge is a mobile + web app that helps people form and maintain platonic online friendships through structured, low-pressure routines. Instead of endless swiping or chaotic group chats, users join “Friend Circles” (3–6 people) based on shared interests and availability. The app runs lightweight weekly prompts (e.g., two-minute voice check-in, one shared link, one mini-question) and tracks reciprocity so one person doesn’t carry the whole friendship. An AI facilitator suggests conversation starters, flags mismatched expectations (e.g., daily texter vs. weekly), and recommends “reset scripts” when a chat goes cold. The product is intentionally anti-addictive: fewer notifications, clear cadence, and gentle off-ramps if a circle isn’t working. Monetization is a subscription for advanced matching, circle analytics, and optional moderated circles for specific niches (remote workers, new parents, gamers, expats).
