FrogID Pro

FrogID Pro is a mobile app (with a lightweight web dashboard) for accurately identifying frogs and toads by their calls and documenting observations for personal lists or citizen-science projects. Users record a short audio clip, the app suggests likely species for the region and season, then guides the user through a quick confirmation flow (location, habitat, photo optional). Submissions can be kept private, shared with local herp groups, or exported to common biodiversity formats for researchers. The app focuses on practical field use: offline recording, low-battery mode, and a “night mode” UI. It also includes a regional call library with short, curated reference clips and simple tips to avoid misidentifications (wind, insects, traffic). The web dashboard lets project admins review submissions, flag questionable records, and publish verified maps for a park, school, or conservation group.
