FrogSafe
FrogSafe is a mobile + web app that helps herpetologists, conservation groups, and serious hobbyists reduce disease transmission (especially chytrid fungus) during amphibian fieldwork. It generates site-specific hygiene checklists, decontamination timers, and gear separation plans based on your itinerary, waterbody types, and local risk level. The app logs visits (GPS optional), tracks which boots/nets/buckets were used where, and flags cross-contamination risks before you move to the next site. It also stores offline SOPs, chemical dilution calculators (e.g., Virkon/bleach), and produces a shareable compliance report for grants, permits, or internal QA. This is not a “species ID” toy—it's a practical workflow tool aimed at reducing mistakes when teams are tired, rushed, or rotating volunteers. An AI component can summarize logs into audit-ready reports and suggest safer routing between sites.
