FufuScale

FufuScale helps home cooks and small caterers reliably scale African recipes without guessing. Many African dishes rely on feel (“add water until it’s right”), which breaks when you cook for 2 vs 20. The app converts common “hand” measures into weights/volumes, guides you through step-by-step scaling, and accounts for ingredient variability (cassava flour brands, rice types, dried fish, palm oil intensity). It includes region-tagged recipes (West, East, North, Central, Southern) with adjustable spice heat and dietary swaps. An AI assistant can suggest substitutions based on what you have, but the core value is a consistent scaling calculator and repeatable results. Monetization: freemium (basic scaling + a few recipes), subscription for full library, catering mode, and exportable prep sheets. Realistically, content quality and measurement validation are the hard parts.
