FutureSlices

FutureSlices is a mobile + web app that forces clarity about your time horizon by turning “someday” plans into concrete, dated slices of life. Users set a realistic lifespan range, then allocate the next 1, 5, 10, and 25 years across buckets like career, health, relationships, learning, and money. The app highlights tradeoffs automatically: if you add a new commitment, something else must shrink. It includes a “time-to-impact” calculator for common goals (degree, promotion, marathon, retirement savings targets) using conservative assumptions and shows what fits before key ages. A weekly 5-minute check-in adjusts slices based on actual behavior, not intention. It’s not a motivational poster; it’s a constraint-based planning tool that makes overcommitment visible and uncomfortable, so users can choose what to drop.
