GabbaiGrant

GabbaiGrant is a web + mobile app for synagogues and Jewish nonprofits to manage tzedakah funds, discretionary distributions, and donor-restricted giving with real accountability. Most “Jewish giving” tools focus on fundraising; this focuses on the messy back office: intake requests, eligibility notes, approvals, payouts, and receipts—without exposing sensitive details to the wrong people. It supports role-based access (rabbi, gabbai, treasurer, board), audit trails, and simple reporting for annual meetings and compliance. The app can also generate donor updates that protect recipient privacy while still proving impact. Realistically, the product wins only if it’s dead-simple to adopt and priced for small shuls; otherwise they’ll stay on spreadsheets. The MVP should target one workflow: discretionary fund requests → approval → payment → donor reporting.
