GaitGuard
GaitGuard helps horse owners and barn managers catch lameness and movement issues before they become expensive vet emergencies. Users record short, guided videos of a horse walking and trotting (straight line and circle). An AI model scores asymmetry and flags changes versus the horse’s own baseline, not a generic “perfect gait.” The app then generates a plain-language report you can share with your farrier or vet, plus a timeline of gait scores, workload notes, footing, and shoeing changes. It’s not a diagnosis tool—just an early-warning and tracking system that makes conversations with professionals more objective. The MVP focuses on consistent capture, trend detection, and shareable summaries, because most owners are bad at noticing gradual changes and even worse at documenting them. Monetization is subscription per horse or per barn, with optional add-ons for multi-user barns.
