GalleryGrade

GalleryGrade is a web + mobile app for art teachers who drown in portfolio reviews and subjective grading. Students upload photos or PDFs of work-in-progress and final pieces, then tag medium, assignment, and learning goals. Teachers use a streamlined rubric builder and a timed “critique mode” that forces quick, consistent scoring with reusable comment snippets. An AI assistant can suggest rubric-aligned feedback and flag missing requirements (e.g., no artist statement, weak documentation photos), but the teacher stays in control with one-tap edits and approval. The app generates student-friendly feedback summaries, progress-over-time views, and exportable grades for common LMS/gradebooks. It’s not trying to teach art; it’s trying to make assessment and critique manageable, fair, and auditable—especially for large classes and portfolio-based programs.
