GapGuard is a mobile + web AI-assisted safety and boundary toolkit for people in age-gap relationships, focused on preventing coercion, scams, and social fallout rather than “matching.” Users can run a private “red-flag check-in” before and during dating: consent and boundary prompts, financial-pressure detection, and a relationship pace planner. The app includes an optional verified identity and age check, plus a “trusted contact” feature that shares date details and safety timers. For couples, it offers guided conversations on power dynamics, money, family disclosure, and long-term expectations, with lightweight journaling and reminders. The AI component summarizes check-ins, highlights risk patterns, and suggests scripts for difficult conversations. Monetization is subscription-based with an optional one-time verification fee. This is not a magic fix: it reduces risk and confusion, but it can’t stop bad actors entirely.
