GapProof helps job seekers with career breaks create a gap explanation that hiring teams actually trust. Instead of generic templates, it guides users to document what they did during the gap (caregiving, health recovery, layoffs, study, freelancing) and converts it into a concise “Gap Statement” plus optional evidence pack: references, course certificates, project links, and a timeline. The app generates versions tailored to role type and seniority and flags risky phrasing that triggers bias or legal concerns. Users can export to LinkedIn “About,” resume bullets, and a short recruiter email. A shareable link lets recruiters view a clean, privacy-controlled summary without oversharing sensitive details. This is not magic: it won’t fix weak experience, but it will reduce confusion, prevent rambling explanations, and increase consistency across applications.
