GapToRetire

GapToRetire is a mobile + web app that calculates your “retirement gap” using only the inputs most people can actually provide: current savings, income, contributions, expected Social Security, target retirement age, and a rough spending estimate. It then turns the gap into a concrete monthly action plan (increase contributions, reduce spending, delay retirement, adjust risk) and shows the trade-offs in plain language. The app focuses on decision clarity, not portfolio micromanagement: it highlights the 3-5 moves that matter most and quantifies how much each move changes your probability of not running out of money. It also includes a yearly “Reality Check” workflow that prompts users to update key numbers and flags when they’re drifting off track. This is not a robo-advisor and does not require moving assets, which reduces friction and compliance complexity.
