GearGauge
GearGauge helps parents decide when a car seat, stroller, carrier, or crib setup is no longer safe or appropriate—based on real measurements and manufacturer limits, not guesswork. You enter your child’s height/weight (or scan a label and type the limits), plus the exact model you own. The app then tracks approaching thresholds (weight, standing height, harness slot position guidance, expiration dates) and gives clear “check now” prompts with what to measure and how. It also stores photos of labels, receipts, and manuals so you can quickly confirm specs during travel or hand-me-downs. This is not a magic safety oracle: it can’t replace a CPST or manufacturer guidance, and it won’t ‘certify’ anything. But it can reduce the common, risky problem of using gear past limits or switching too early out of confusion.
